1. What is wrought iron?

Wrought iron is a form of iron made by forging or rolling. It basically has special texture or shape. However, modern days ‘wrought iron’ is machine made.

2. I heard that wrought iron will not rust?

Iron will rust – unless protective measure has been applied.

3. What is mild steel?

Mild steel is a general term of a range of steel – a most common form of steel.

4. What is aluminium alloy?

Aluminium alloy consists of mainly aluminium and mixed with others ingredients e.g. magnesium, silicon, zinc etc, hence the word alloy.

5. How to prevent my gate/grille from rusting?

A basic step shall be a coat of paint. However, a more comprehensive measure shall be have it hot-dipped galvanized.

6. What is hot-dipped galvanizing treatment?

It is a process of dipping metal in a bath of molten zinc to have a protective coating to prevent rust.

7. What kind of paint does CSA use?

CSA products have special ordered modified epoxy based paint with designer selected colour to match our design.

8. How long will it take for the paint to wear off?

Wear and tear shall depend on different conditions. Let’s say in a year time, the surface finishes of an exterior gate shall tarnish. However, some might like the old and natural look of it. Should you need to refresh the finishes, please contact CSA.

9. Do you supply auto-gate system?

Yes. We have advance system called AirTrackTM. Should you have conventional system in mind, we can also recommend one to you.

Instalation & Site Related FAQ

1. How long does it take to have my gate installed?

Under normal circumstances, once you confirm order, it shall take about 3 ~ 4 weeks time for our installation team to be there at your home. However, the delivery time may vary depends on the volume or order, as well as the complexity of design. It may take up to months.
